Welcome to the Lions Wrestling Club. We promote the sport of wrestling in the McLean, Langley, Great Falls, Falls Church and Arlington areas of northern Virginia. We welcome beginners as well as experienced wrestlers ages 5 to 14 years old. We are part of the Northern Virginia Wrestling Federation (NVWF) which consists of clubs throughout northern Virginia. New wrestlers are always welcome. The NVWF is the perfect place for beginning wrestlers to learn the sport. Rookies are typically matched against other rookies at our weekly meets.  

Our mission is to teach the sport of wrestling and to teach the values and character traits that wrestling reinforces. These include dedication and hard work as the path to success, a refusal to give up, an attitude of personal confidence, and most of all, taking responsibility for one's own successes and failures. We also strive to ensure that the kids have fun and we measure our success as a youth program by retention rate.
 
Our typical season runs from mid-November through late February. Practices will be two times a week for our older wrestlers (likely Tuesday and Thursday this season) and two times a week for our younger wrestlers (likely Monday and Saturday this season). Tournaments are held on Sundays, usually starting in mid-December and continuing until the end of February.
