Basketball

Our organization offers three distinct basketball programs to serve the McLean/Langley community: Developmental League (skills training for Boys and Girls/Grades 1-3); House League (recreational basketball for Boys and Girls/Grades 4-12); and Select League (competitive basketball for highly skilled Boys and Girls/Grades 5-8).

Fencing

The McLean Youth Fencing Club's (MYF) mission is to provide student-athletes the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy the sport of fencing. We have club sessions in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. We will field 2 classes: Y10 for grades 2 - 6 and Cadet 17 for grades 7 -12. The club is open to McLean and non-McLean youth athletes.

Field Hockey

MYAFH is a program geared to beginners of all ages including 2nd through 8th graders. Sessions focus on basic skills and fundamentals of the game of field hockey. We utilize the coaching expertise of the McLean High School coaching staff as well as experienced current players. Intermural games are part of the fall league as well as competitions with other youth programs in the area. These programs are wonderful preparation for young athletes interested in playing field hockey at the high school level and beyond.

Flag Football

The McLean Flag league is everything you'd want in a youth sports experience -- a single-day commitment (no midweek driving!), a high-energy, positive environment (that starts with our professional coaches), and a place where everyone is welcome. The opposite of the hyper-specialized "travel sports" experience, this is a league with a real neighborhood feel.

Tackle Football

We strongly believe that Tackle Football is more than just a sport. Football teaches our youth some tremendous life skills they carry with them long after they've hung up their cleats. Not only does youth tackle football provide both mental and physical benefits, it promotes teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic that will help shape our children into well-rounded adults. Football is a team sport that teaches responsibility, handling success and failures, and more importantly, builds character. The Spartans offer the opportunity for youth between the ages of 7 and 15 to compete against the other member clubs of the Fairfax County Youth Football League. Our season begins in early August and runs through early November. We are a member of USA Football and all of our coaches are certified in the Heads Up Tackle program.

Lacrosse

McLean Youth Lacrosse provides boys and girls youth lacrosse opportunities from 6U to 14U (ages 5-14, grades pre-K to 8th) in the McLean area. Our mission is to promote the development of leadership, character, sportsmanship, tolerance, discipline, and a lifelong love of lacrosse. We offer a Spring (main) season, Summer Box, Fall Box, and Winter Box Seasons, along with Summer Camps and a Fall Instructional Clinic.

Rugby

Due to the Core Values learned on and off the field, rugby is often referred to as the 'School of Life'. McLean/Great Falls Youth Rugby wants your children to soak in the rugby experience: the camaraderie, respect, teamwork, leadership, and loyalty that sets them on the right track and allows an opportunity to make friends for life! McLean/Great Falls fields teams from PreK-4th (U7-U11 - COED) and 5th grade-High School (U13-U19 - BOYS & GIRLS), in the Rugby Virginia league. No experience necessary--we will teach you the skills to tackle, ruck, maul, and scrum properly and safely. Rugby is offered YEAR ROUND, one registration gives you a full years' play and competition!

Squash

Squash is played in 180 countries by 20 million people on six continents. It's fun and a fantastic way to keep fit. Forbes magazine ranked squash as the #1 best recreational sport in a nationwide survey.

Track and Field

McLean Youth Track and Field is an all-volunteer organization that provides opportunities for Northern Virginia kids ages 5 through middle school to develop skills and compete in track, field, and cross country. Our aim is to help our kids develop a love for running, sportsmanship, and an appreciation for the sport. We focus on "house" events and encourage all of our athletes to strive for personal improvement.

Volleyball

The mission of McLean Youth Volleyball is to provide girls and boys in grades 4 through 12 the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy volleyball in a safe and fun environment. To this end, we encourage all those interested, regardless of experience/ability, to join our program and play on our teams. If you don't know how to play, we will teach you. For the House program, there are no tryouts – anyone who registers is placed on a team. There are also Select and Travel programs for those interested in a more competitive experience.

Wrestling

McLean Youth Wrestling promotes the sport of wrestling in the Northern Virginia area. We welcome beginners as well as experienced youth wrestlers. Our wrestlers will be the future stars of our local high school wrestling teams. Our mission is to teach the sport of wrestling and to teach the values and character traits that wrestling reinforces. These include dedication and hard work as the path to success, a refusal to give up, an attitude of personal confidence, and most of all, taking responsibility for one's own successes and failures.
